i remember specially 1985,1986,1987 those tree strait years were awesome cos bands as psichedelic furs,echo and the bunnymen,the cure,simple minds,pet shop boys,erasure... realease awesome albums and awesome songs as a single. Um, you're wrong. Much of Pat Benatar's later hits were written by her husband or herself. Also, do you think that all the inductees so far were singer/songwriters. Uh, no. That Ronstadt was an interpretive singer was a lame excuse used against her in the 1960s & 1970s when songwriters were the rage. It changed completely in the 1980s and no one used it against any over those singers.
