I love the way Director Jonathan Demme slowly zooms into the close ups on Hopkins and Foster when Lecter really begins grilling her. The psychological effect of this technique is perfect. It "removes" the bars between them and brings them closer to each other and, in effect, closer to the audience. It is a scene of tremendous virtuosity from every participant. The actors, writers and the director were all right on target the whole time. Aspiring filmmakers should watch this film carefully.

I like Rob Zombie's Halloween. But my biggest problem is that he ruined the mystery of Michael. I always viewed Michael as an unstoppable force that is the personification of evil. In Zombie's version you felt more sympathy for him because of the enviornment he grew up in. For me, it was scarier knowing that Michael was and is just pure evil.
