Well that's not a contradiction to what he said. He was talking about Led Zeppelin as a touring band. I wouldn't say that Led Zeppelin is a more complex thing though. Not at all. It's blues.

I love the fact that zeppelin was all about making music (that's what attracted people to them in the first place) yet now they are widely considered to have established the general image of the 'rock band.' Zeppelin will always be the best.
