What I found amazing about that part, is that Kim heard the first part of Beethoven's fifth "Bu-bu-bu-buuu" and realized that's morse code for "V", which is roman numeral for five. That's pretty unique, and regardless if you feel the majority of people can do that (does the majority even know morse code), you would still need a degree of understanding in order to make that connection. Y'know Kim also uses words in their proper context, which entails he knows a little of what he's saying.

Well I did watch the doco. My point was he was able to reason the fact that what the phrase meant and what context it falls in. Some in his state shouldn't be able distinguish anything metaphoric. As they lack the analytical skills of a normal person. Even if someone told him that, he shouldn't be able understand the deep meaning of it. Yeah, most probably he picked it up from somewhere, but you can tell a person who speaking from the heart compared to just repeating it.

I don't think it is fair to assume he is "just reciting things", Kalle72. Like the documentary explained, he can make unique and amazing connections with all the pieces of information he knows, which entails that he has at least some understanding of what he's saying. I don't know ... I think they overemphasized his flaws in this video.

Kim is gentle, kind, sweet and wonderful. I have a Bachelors of Art in Psychology and am working on getting my Masters and in the years since I finished college I have yet to see anyone like Kim. My brother is mentally challenged, it is very difficult to deal with him on some situations but his innocence is what keeps us going. I love him to death and he was a gift given by heaven. The beethoven's 5th part was a game I played as a kid but on a much much smaller scale. I would have never figure things out like the notes in the beginning were the same as those in a V in morse code. But I related simple things like Clifford is red, the red is...etc. until I related something else to Clifford.
