JB with probably his best band ever featuring the Collins brothers (Catfish and, yes, a young yet already amazing BOOTSY!). Too bad the recording is a little old. I post it here as a tribute to James, who left this world for a funkier one last christmas (25/12/2006). You know, I listened to 'Ain't It Funky (Pts. 1 & 2)' from the James Brown album 'Soul Pride: The Instrumentals (1960-1969)' and I noticed passages that sounded similarly to Isaac Hayes' theme to 'Shaft,' probably the bridge...it's a little difficult to pick up in this video, which is quite good by the way. Just wondering if anyone noticed. This song was cut originally in the late '60's and 'Shaft' probably around '71.

funkypitt, thanks for sharing this. Brought back lots of memories. Back in the day when you didn't have nothing else, you always had James Brown. Put on a JB record back then and practically the entire neighborhood stopped to groove. RIP JB, you sho' wuz funky!!!!

i thought i had most of James Browns stuff ,but through you tube i found out that this concert is available on a cd called love pece power.i recieved it today,i tell you if your into jb you must get this album made in 1999 it is fantastic.The best album in my opinion is revoloution of the mind but trust me its right up there.
