I still think this is a cute commercial. I know many thought it was disrespectful, but I don't think this rises to the level of "Catholic bashing" and I am a regular mass-attendee who is normally pretty sensitive about that stuff.

Firstly, catholics don't believe the pope is all pure and holy. We call him the Holy Father, because that's just a distinction given to him here on earth but it doesn't literaly mean he is on par with God. Like you said the 'only real pure and holy people' you made a distinction there, 'real'. There is also a saying 'all glory and honour to God' but it's just a saying, a lot of people honour other people, it's not the same as worshipping and you have to understand the context.

There is nothing wrong with praising the Pope, perhaps if they said 'worship the pope' Pope John Paul II was praised a lot, and rightly so for doing what he did, he was one of the most admired men. It's not wrong to praise anyone.

well, after 7 anti- Catholic or anti American comments, 1 defended Catholicism. This is proof that society is decaying. The Pope, and other religious leaders can hopefully bring the world back into the light before it descends into darkness. I won't even address any attacks on the Pope. We actually studied this video and the Pope's entire visit to America in my Religion and Media class. Just FYI - This commercial was "deleted" because the Vatican was upset that the bobble head is wearing red -- and red is the color the bishops wear, not the Pope. They never said they were offended or anything.
