i don't think so, darth vader was destined to become the most powerful sith lord that ever was, only by falling to the dark side ballance was restaured within the force because there was too much light (too many jedi knights) and so darkness must be brought to restore ballance.

Ur right about Palaptine's magical chair, but I heard that they cut parts of the Anakin V Obi Wan fight so maybe that lightsaber bit happened then :)

For all that pay attention to the music and are asking what it is called, the first 3 or four minutes is called "Anakin vs Obi Wan" then there is some type "Duel of Fates" thing when Darth Sidius is throwing those platforms at Yoda. And finally "Battle of the Heros" which sounds kind of like "Anaking vs Obi Wan" but is with a chorus instead of instrumental. Oh ya "Dual of Fates" is the same song when Darth Maul is fighting Qui Gon and Obi Wan in episode 1. So there you go everybody.Your welcome!

My favorite parts of both these battles, has to be when Palpatine jumps for the door, and his chair is miraculously upright again...and when Anakin has Obi-Wan bent backwards in the one room, how he's holding Obi-Wan's lightsaber in one scene, and then in the next, he's holding his own....its funny how they dont pay attention to that stuff....

I watched the original trilogy over the last few days. Anyway yeah, apparently The Emperor had that foresight power, being able to see future events. Though it is never explained. So saying he knew Anakin would come and witness Windu trying to kill him seems more than fair. Star Wars is about the movies though. Books and information websites are optional for fans. But as I said, there is evidence supporting the foresight power claim in the movies so I'll accept it.

Dude serious, read the books Mace Windu was the weakest and he knew it. He knew he could have prevented it al at Geonosis by decapitating Dooku. If you read the books you will know dryan is right

When and where was Yoda given this Grand Master title? As for Lucas' stating something. The actually contents of a movie are all that matters. It's up to you whether you take these statements into account. Btw can you link where he said it? I would like to see what else he said.

if obi-wan wins its the same ending and the movie. but if vader wins he meets up with sidious and then vader kills sidious in a suprise attack and takes over the sith.
