It applied the same DYI free spirit that defined Post-Punk and also the punk era. Notable No-Wave bands are DNA, Teenage Jesus & the Jerks, and The Residents. I do live in Colombia...so it's pretty hard, barely anyone knows about the subject, probably the only post-punk popular right now is Joy Division because of Control and hipsters that have recently discovered it. I mean, post-punk arrived only 10 years ago through some original manchester casettes of Joy Division that spread through this region here in Colombia called Cali...don't know the whole story

Well, I've got to admit I've been into the genre since 2006 and I'm actully 16 but I'm pretty interested in the subject...I do appreciate your knowledge as you seem you own many of albums of the post-punk era but It's really hard for me to get a hold of albums or material of the era....I also wished I could interview and get to meet bands of the era so I could get to know the truth about this info. Yeah I guess you're right...at the end, we all have different views on the subject and there is no way of knowing the truth. You make up your own definition based on the very few resources out there of the subject and then you have to fill the blank spots yourself.

Yes indeed Radiohead as many others these days owe alot to the Factory days...I think ACR were way ahead of their time. No small wonder that Mike Pickering and Simon Topping ended up developing the Hacienda club , bringing real house music from Chicago, NY. Simon himself went to NY for a while to study Latin American purcussion. The album that this tune comes from is awesome..its the pinacle of thier 'sound'.

Btw I went to a show with them in "Saltlageret" in Copenhagen. It was shortly after they released the fantastic album "Sextet". But they didn't bring the girl singer, Martha Tilson. There were two shopfronts, side by side, one that the Calculators lived in, and Ollie, Matthew, Lawton and Arne next door. Gavin may have moved in after we left the country. The film clip was in the back yard of the burnt out building next door to them but filmed from their roof. No other footage that I know of. We weren't very organised back then. Glad everyone likes the clip. From next door to where we lived in 1979 (Nicholson Street, North Fitzroy). Whoever put this here got it from the 2004 CD we put out on Chapter Music. Only film of us around that we know of. Quality is bad cos it is from a 20 year old video cassette. Original film would've be much better, but we don't have it.

das is so scheiße, das is schon wieder geil XD aber ich hab eh nen ndw-schaden seitdem ich mich mal aus versehen hab in nem bad inner datsche einsperren lassen und die ganze zeit " mein freund hat mit mir schluss gemacht " baba weiss nich von wem es ist kam....ich war ne stunde im bad -.- und der cd-spieler war auf replay.
