My hubby just returned from Afghanistan this fall. you have done a wondeful job showing what life is like for our troops serving overseas. May we all keep those who are still seving in our hearts and prayers along with their families many of who will be separated this holiday season

I hear ya gmckinnon. These people who sit in the safety of their homes do not know anything about honour, duty or sacrifice. This is how shallow our society has become and how selfish we have become. They complain, bitch and chew about the long line ups at Tim Horton's, they have no patience and yet there are these brave hero's serving over there in Afghanistan to keep their way of life secure.

Beautiful. Nothing is glorified and neither is the sacrifice and heroism of the Canadian troops under-exaggerated: an excellent and balanced portrayal of the Canadian Force's mission in Afghanistan. Makes me ashamed though of the Canadians at home who, from the safety and comfort of their couches, denounce our soldier's actions while those who are doing the heavy lifting soldier on and despite their losses believe in their mission. The least we can do is support them. Did you hear that Alexa?
