man i really need to start checking this more this shit is funny as hell yes my car is a honda yes it had no fenders and sounded bad a year ago and yes this vid has no point(dont blame me about that i didnt post it) but hey it was cheap and i had a fun time building it and the 35mpg so long as i stay off the boost is kinda nice too

ok. true. when it all comes down. if you want alot of torque. GET A B16 OR B18 ect. if its top end hp u want. get a nissan. like i said. im a dick when it comes to honda/acura. but i will give honda/acura some credit. those with the b18 or k20 do give me a hard time off the line. i usually always come back and disappear though. i have a lil respect for DOHC honda/acura motors only. as far as SOHC GOES. I ANT GOT NO RESPECT FOR THEM

yes you can swap for a sr20 motor but it is a lot of work, no Hondas cannot handle ridiculous amounts of boost but they can handle some a b18 stock (with a chipped ecu) can handle around 17psi safely so they aren't awful. yes sr20's are better but a b18 is more practical for someone who does not own their own shop.

theres a guy that even did a sr20det swap in an ACURA integ. i dont think it was fair for an acura owner to start dippin in NISSANs coolaid and doing that swap cause youll never see a nissan with a honda engine. his purpose for that swap was because sr20det could handle high boost safely on stock motor. and yes. a sr20det can very well handle 500hp without a risk. only once u get close to 600hp range is when u should start to worry. where honda can barely boost do to high compression motors

ok. good point. but to be honest. most sr motors are alot cheaper than lets say a b18. ive looked on jdm websites where a b18 w/o the tranny can cost over 2500 where i can by a already turbo engine and tranny included for 2100. because not so many people do nissan swap because they think its hard and expensive. it may be a lil hard. but not expensive as a honda or acura swap. because so many people are doin honda swap. u guys get knocked ova the head for parts over labor.

ok how about you do a little price comparison the honda b18 turbo most likely was 1.2-2k for motor 800-1.7k for turbo 500 for body and hell another 4-5k on other shit so the car is about 7-8 grand modded out your sr20det aka nissan skyline for the car stock internals, which cannot run 500hp safely, would cost around 6 grand... in japan plus 1-4k to import and then you have to mod it out yes its a decent car but its hard as hell to come by...

It's not the "ricers" that you have to watch out for. It's the stock looking sleeprs with everything stock outside that you have to watch out for. And this guy got himself a 13 second car for probably under 6 grand. Can't really call that a waste of money.
