I suspect that you are an individual whose practice is Wiccan, not Christian. So of course my comment could not possibly apply to you at all, since it was predicated on my own, personal experience as a practicing Christian. Sects of Christianity didn't develop in just 50 years. Scientology is a rather new mythology, their ideas are not widely known for being "correct" which is my guess on why you don't see denominations. Their doctrine may also not be as shoddily manufactured, with as many contradictions and possibilities for vastly different interpretations. I don't think having denominations in a religion is any argument against how brainwashing it is.

Christianity is quite a general encompass of denominations and sects. I am guessing you are referring to some of the more extreme fundamentalism. As with Islam. Scientology has not allowed denominations and sects, unless you are also referring to the freezone. This is just a re-posting, remember. I am Wiccan, but have many friends who are Christian. Going by Steven Hassan's definition, Wicca and paganism do have covens that do fit the mind-control cult mainstream, if that is what you are talking about. However there are solitary practitioners and other covens that don't have that mindset. Scientology has, going by Hassan's book, all the signs of a mind-control cult. I didn't make the video, I merely reposted it. The issue I have with Scientology is their intolerance of religions, disconnection of families when one joins or, in some sad cases, leave their entire family and are told never to contact them. I for myself am Wiccan, not Christian. I think I mentioned it a few times.

If you are Christian (as I was when I encountered Scientology) and you study Scientology (as I have been doing), then you understand your own religion better. You end up understanding Christianity better because you are able to understand the written word (the Holy Bible) much more throughly. After you learn how to study (study tech). Good day.
