I have been to Cuba. There are Spanish companies there,German ,French, the USA does not "force" Europe,Africa or Asia. This is the old commie excuse for their oppression (which keeps people in Cuba except the to5% of the elite poor) in order to control them. The USA does not do busines with Cuba (this is the embargo) .The rest of the world does. And Cuba is still a poor political hell hole.

Most countries in the world have by now figured out that any ideological economic view will fail. Both Capitalism and Communism are failed models. They are however, good tools in specific situations, where warrented. You say that "Communism is just incompetent and murderous not even Russia or China want it". First of all Communism is an ECONOMIC idea. Secondly China's economy is still 80% state owned. There are similar figures for Russia. These countries will soon become super-powers.

First of all, I am not a communist. I am just aware of what's going on. I don't believe in communism. Secondly I did not say that there are no countries doing business with Cuba. What I said was that the US government does not allow foreign companies to do business with Cuba (they sanction companies that do). Also, there is naval blockade which heavily resrticts what Cuba exports and imports. This is why Cuba is relying on tourism as their main industry now.

I agree, the problem you have is you are engaged in an argument with brainwashed capitalist Americans, who have no idea what it must be like to live in a country starved by us embargo's where every day you wake up to a new struggle due to the restrictions placed upon you by foreign powers, no wonder people "escape" to the usa, this is forced upon them by the embargo's in place, just to make capitalism look like the "city of gold" i have visited Cuba and i have seen this with my own eyes!

Yes and look what happened to Lincoln, besides your comment is ancient history where as followers of Che and communism are everywhere, just wait and see, the time of modern democracy is nearing an end. Wait and see!

ANOTHER LIAR COMMUNIST. Man I have been to Cuba. Cuba is doing business,AND HAS FOR YEARS,with Spain,Canada,China,India,Germany,France..You are either a top communist in the govenment of Cuba (the only ones living happy in Cuba).Or you are an idiot foreigner that does not know anything but commie propaganda.Communism is just incompetent and murderous not even Russia or China want it.Cuba is one of the few retarded nations unable to get rid of that crap. The embargo is a false excuse

Salary was only an example of many. Read this and keep it on your mind. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves. --President Abraham Lincoln

You have shown that you actually don't know anything about Cuba or the embargo. Under the embargo, conditions, the US does not allow any foreign company to do business with Cuba. In addition, the US restricts the export of Cuban good to other countries. Still even if none of this was true, your logic is totally flawed. You claim that Cuba is failing because of communism. You have shown in your own post that this is not the reality. Communist China will soon outpace you soon anyways!
By: lakazev. on 07 Jan 09, 03:34:40
The problem with your theory is that the cuban govenment CAN AND DO business with anyother nation they want in the world(Canada Spain
By: poyani. on 07 Jan 09, 03:08:17
Could be because the world's only superpower has been starving Cubans because they feared Cubans for "taking matters into their own hands" (I am quoting an American state official here) via a 40+ year embargo. Or it could be your irrational diatribe about what a shitty place Cuba is. Do you also think that the real cause of Holocaust was the Jews? I mean "educaded (sic)" Jews did "throw themselves to (sic)the Atlantic ocean (sic) by the hundreds dayly (sic) to leave".

"My friend, having a 25 usd salary is completely a joke." Are economic conditions, devoid of any other measure a fair assessment of a system of governance? Germany enjoyed its highest improvement in economics under the Nazis. Does that justify Nazism? The USSR enjoyed massive economic development under Stalin. Does that justify communism? Cuba suffers from economic conditions due to the embargo. But today it enjoys higher education and health standards and Cubans live with dignity.

I don't think communism or capitalism are correct as ideologies. They are tools that should be used in different economic conditions. Your point is not a valid one however. Communist China is likely to be the world's dominating super-power soon and the US is in rapid decline now. Are current conventions a good barometer for how correct a political system is? There was a time in the US when slavery was a common practice. Does that mean slavery was justified?

And these so called educaded cubans throw themselves to the Atlantic ocean by the hundreds dayly to leave Cuba. Hatians get in their boats to escape Haity PASS RIGHT BY CUBA AND KEEP GOING TO THE USA. Why because Communist Cuba is a shithole no matter how much propaganda they out out.
By: gencoss. on 05 Jan 09, 19:53:22
My friend, having a 25 usd salary is completely a joke. It's a sum I spend every night on pubs. You seem to be a blinded communist who does not see beyond your nose. Communism is dead and so will be for lifetime. Have a look what happened with Turkey, with Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia and now Kosovo after the breakdown of Yugoslavia,Slovenia already joined EU and Croatia is on that way. Wake up boy, it's a huge difference if you compare Slovenia today with 20 years ago when it was part of Yugo.

They also did the same thing to Greece, Spain, Portugal, ... Don't lose hope my Yugoslav friend. Most of these countries beat the Americans and won their democracy. WE are seeing something similar to that even today in places like Iraq.
By: poyani. on 05 Jan 09, 19:39:56
HAHAHA! Gotta love the strange and sparious logic of the right. You pretend as if the US would just allow the tiny nation of Cuba to become a liberal democracy. Iran was a liberal democracy near the same time as the Cuban revolution. Do you know what happened to that? CIA coup! Also I love the way you connected two completely different topics (lib democracy and wealth) with no explanation. Haiti, the poorest country in the Amaricas is a liberal democracy. Hmm What happened to Aristide?
