umm iragobragh, ITF is not the original..., it was created by general Hong Hee who broke away from the traditional tai kwon do (WTF now) and created ITF to focus more on the art and form rather then the combat. ITs true ITF looks nicer and has better form although i still prefer WTF ,more effective in my opinion, just an opinion though not judging. BTW great vid.

Hey man, thanks, glad you like the video. You're right about that kick, it was clean. The great thing too is the guy's balance. It takes a lot of skill to throw one's body and weight into a kick like that, with so much momentum going into the contact - and landing after like that. But then again, balancing like that is practiced rigorously in TKD, in addition to smooth, crisp, clean kicks. Really glad you enjoyed it. Thanks.

yea i personally dont like the point sparring , to me the one who can knock the other on the floor will be the victor in the fight . these guys are very good with the kicks , at least alot better than me . im only a purple belt though .

Cool video. I'm just starting to learn the game of tennis, and found out that there is a single court + wall near my house. Since I am a total tennis noob, I google'd "how to practice tennis on a wall" and your video came up! Perfect! You should post some more wall videos. Perhaps you could build a following around it, become a master of some funky youtube tennis wall shtick. Like place a poster of McCain or Obama on the wall and drive 20 times in a row directly into the candidate's face. jk

GREAT footwork on backhand. forehand is looking great as well but try to focus on your footwork more. when you hit a backhand you hit off of your front foot but on your forehand you hit on your back and that can result in less power and you must work harder for the ball.

Oh, yeah, point out like 1 of only 3 times where the ball went under the line. That's obviously a mistake. All my actual shots do pass the line with margin. The wall is not generous to topspin, so why would I attempt it? The bounce I get back would be horrid. The wall is the time to practice drives, which I've done. A higher ball makes for a bad bounce. If you see my shots in a rally, I hit with more top than most due to my extreme semi.

when youre practicing against the wall, hit it higher than for example look at 0:35. if you hit it like that in a match, its going to bounce around the service line and youre opponent is going to step into that. hit it higher when you hit against the wall so in a real match it goes deeper in the court.

As a matter of fact I got it measured this past week while at the Countrywide Classic tournament in Los Angeles. The fastest I hit was a 99 MPH slice serve. I didn't try to go for flat; I was just kind of tampering around with a service motion. I switched it however, and need to get around to working on it.

That'd be smart and useful for control practices. Normally what I do to aim is just practice on hitting one of those particular boards. You can't see it in this one it seems, but they're split into sections. This particular time though I kinda just had fun with it. I was more concerned with my serve but I wanted to make a video, to share, and also for my own analysis. Very nice concept.

They should invent a challenge wall practice game. Each time you hit the panels it'll raise the score on the scoreboard. But the panels would be smaller. They would move opposite of each other, one 10-15 feet in the air, one eye level, they'd move back and forth over a 15-foot space. Each consecutive hit would be 1, 2, 4, 8, then 10. If you hit the wall but miss the panel it starts over. Foul up entierly and it's all over. 100 points would be needed to win.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I think that used to happen because I'd take it back far in addition to my pivote, so it'd be exaggerrated - or sometimes because I like the whipping motion and perhaps would go a bit far with it. Hopefully I stopped that though - this was from like a year ago. Thanks a lot. Good advice.

Yo Momo. TNF here. Groundies look fine to me, especially the backhand side. Looks like you're really loading and letting it go. Must be pretty vicious. I'm not a great analyst but you were backing up in that video. On hardcourts, with your kind of strokes especially since they are flat and hard on the backhand side, catching the ball early will really pay dividends in a match. Footwork is fine, but not fantastically amazing, but then again for a high school player it's still good.
