Well all those songs have Rhoads on guitar except for the original Iron Man. I wrote that song cos it's got a great guitar bit in it and I have heard that Ozzy Osbourne did it once with his solo career line-up too. Yeah I know I'm a huge fan of Quiet Riot and of Rhoads Rhoads is the best guitarist by far even though there are many not far away. I mena I know every single fact about him more or less and I'm just so depressed when it comes to me knowing he's dead Love peace and udnerstanding

Wow you're a maniac. If you can't see that this guy has talent as few, know how to play the guitar as few and is just one of the best in the world then you shouldn't talk music with anyone. Rhoads is the best guitarist by far. You should here his solo's on Crazy Train, Killer Girls, Last call for rock 'n roll, Iron Man, Goodbye to Romance etc. you'll change you mind trust me. Both Quiet Riot and Ozzy Osbourne songs.

Well I wish I could agree with you! He says Uli Roth and Micheal Schenker were his main influences and Rhoads did not really do anything different than them. Read his interviews. Randy does not sound like Roth or Schenker.. Mr. Crowley and Revelation do not sound like any one else..IMHO, they are better than anything the other two guys have done.

Furthermore, I'd rather hear someones rendition of th esong, they're take on it, transfering they're emotions through it. rather than listen to someone try to mimick whatever randy was feeling when he recorded it. MOst cases anyone who nails each pinch harmonic and ghost bend perfectly is too concentrated on technical means to actually play with evident emotion.

You have a point demondik, but the fact of the matter is few can even play crazy train like it should be played. Just take a quick glance around youtube at the roughly 50-60 guys trying to cover this song and far most of them still have to go. You have to understand what randy was doing, before trying to out there and create something equal or better. If you cant even cover his songs properly, how can you ever truely know what he was doing?

Considering the video equipment you were using, I don't think the tone could really be helped. I'm sure it sounded better in your room. The biggest issue is the fact that the rhythm is jacked up. So you need to polish your time. But other than that, this was okay. Just play alot and you'll progress even more.

Yeah man, I do that one all the time, it was a big part of why I got a guitar with that pickup selection. I use it for playing softer/blusier stuff like Pink Floyd to switch from rhythm to lead, cuts out the need for a distortion pedal. Very handy.

i see im not the only one who has figured out how to use 2 volume knobs to their advantage. if you want a clean sound you can put your distortion on really loud and set the neck pickup volume control to hardly any thing, like, move it no more than 6mm. this way you can play clean and crank the distortion at the flick of a switch. the position in between is good for maiden/priest style NWOBHM chugging.
