If you guys honestly think this wasn't another comic book cheesy ending, then your either hiding what you really want to say or you don't know what a good ending for a movie is. The last parts of this movie seriously disappointed me. Half because I was tired of sitting through a 2 1/2 hour movie hearing that annoying voice, and the other half because that little kid was yelling "batman!" oh pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaase.

it's quite apt that Batman's last line is 'sometimes people deserve to have their faith rewarded'... after many long awaited and anticipated films that have come and gone(Star Wars prequels, Indiana Jones etc.) The Dark Knight is the only one to live up to expectations(and even exceed them).

I sequel will be a treat but I wont mind if they dont make a sequel.. Just leave it as it is. There is no way to top TDK. And the way TDK ended ...it will be hard to tie these knots in the next movie. And if THEY DO tie these knots..it will turn into just any other comic book conical movies where the hero is always great and alwasy wins and always happily ever after

yeah, plus if the truth was out and Dent was blamed for those murders, all of the criminals he put behind bars would be released, like the mayor said. The citizens of Gotham's hope for a crime free city would've failed. And the Joker would've won.
