Absolutelly! I own the game and i run it in a DELL XPS M1530. Just insert the Disc, and when thse system loads it, go to stat menu, open the games folder and double click on the Gears of War Icon. if you run the game from the window that appears when you insert the disc is always gonna crash.

Duh!! ok listen man. run the game from the root directory. example: start/games/gears of wars and doble click on the gears of war icon. now; the reason why looks shitty is because you have to change the resolution, but you need at least 3.7 experience index to run the game without problems, 5.0 is the optimal. you can run it but try the 800 x 600 screen resolution. remember, pen the game from the start menu, then games and then double click on gears of war icon.

KK playboy listen, i had the very same problem today, but i got around it. You CANT use autorun.exe its bugged like hell, thats what makes it so you cant play. Instead you have to go to Start-> Documents (this is where i found mine)-> MyGames-> Gears of War or you can just type, in search, Gears of War. A folder should come up saying Gears of War (dont pick GoW for windows) and now, go to binaries, then scroll down till you find Startup. THATS the thing that makes teh game really work.
